WallRate earns money through affiliate marketing. This page explains exactly what that means, because you deserve to know before you click.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
Which programs we participate in
WallRate participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates and other home-decor and furniture retailer programs. Product links may point to Amazon, Etsy, Wayfair, Art.com and similar retailers.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
How this affects our recommendations
- Commission rates never decide what we recommend or how we rank products.
- We do not accept payment, gifts or free product in exchange for a positive review or a placement in a buying guide.
- We do not publish sponsored posts presented as editorial content.
- Where a recommendation is based on manufacturer specs, buyer feedback or published standards rather than hands-on use, we say so in the article.
- If a product is a poor fit for renters, we say that — even when it pays well.
Links that are not affiliate links
Links to our own articles, to standards bodies, and to informational sources are not affiliate links. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the page source, and are introduced in the body text with a disclosure at the top of the article.
FTC disclosure
In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose that WallRate has a material connection to some of the products and retailers mentioned on this site, and that we may be compensated if you make a purchase through our links.
